Myths about sex

A provocative piece over here - for me, much of it rings true, particularly the main point about the massive cultural investment in the myth that women are not interested in sex, that it is merely something they give men in return for other things.

Which leads to women who show that they actually do enjoy sex for its own sake (and the pleasure it gives them) being regarded as anomalous, demonised as "sluts", considered fair game for rape and other ill-treatment, etc.
